Senior Automation Engineer C&W Facility Services

Lead the Automation Engineering team at a Boston facility to improve operational efficiency. You will manage control systems and mentor engineers while optimizing equipment performance. What You'll Do11
- 1Coordinate with Automation Engineers to achieve facility operational goals
- 2Collaborate with Operations Engineering Safety teams to optimize material handling systems
- 3Understand and troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks
- 4Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance to resolve performance issues
- 5Act as first-level escalation support for automation engineers during and after hours
- 6Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes
- 7Apply subject matter expertise to maximize building utilization of systems
- 8Perform analytics to assess material handling system performance
- 9Partner with leadership to plan technology installations and communicate project timelines
- 10Assist with skill assessments for technical positions within maintenance teams
- 11Participate in AE conference calls and coordinate with central team
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years equivalent experience
- 25+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 3Proficiency in RSLogix5000 Studio FT View and similar programming tools
- 4Knowledge of robotics work cells and their control systems
- 5Experience with motor controls including starters VFDs and DC drives
- 6Hands-on troubleshooting experience with 480V 3-phase 110 VAC and 24VDC systems
- 7Familiarity with warehouse management system concepts and messaging protocols
- 8Strong reasoning analytical and problem-solving abilities
- 9Proven leadership skills in technical roles
- 10Excellent communication and customer service skills
- 11Preference for experience with advanced automation controls robotics and ASRS systems
Salary Insight
$115 - $136k per year
