Senior Archer Developer, Risk Technology
Overview
You'll own the design and configuration of Archer applications that drive Pacific Life's Integrated Risk Platform, serving a $100B+ insurer. Working with Risk stakeholders and a dedicated team of developers, analysts, and a product owner, you'll deliver scalable, maintainable solutions for GRC, Third-party Risk Management, and Operational Risk Management. Your work directly supports policyholders' financial security, making this a career with purpose.
What You'll Do10
- 1Design and configure Archer applications, including layouts, advanced workflows, reporting, and access controls, to align with business goals.
- 2Lead the build of Archer solutions for the Integrated Risk Platform, ensuring scalability and user-friendliness across Risk systems.
- 3Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into functional Archer configurations, using Agile SCRUM or Kanban to deliver value iteratively.
- 4Ship MVP configurations that address immediate risk needs while maintaining long-term architectural integrity.
- 5Debug complex Archer configuration issues in production, ensuring reliability and performance for Risk teams.
- 6Own data migration and validation efforts, maintaining accuracy and integrity of information across Archer and other GRC platforms.
- 7Drive unit testing and support QA and UAT to uphold high standards of delivery.
- 8Document solution designs and present to stakeholders, securing alignment and demonstrating value.
- 9Stay current with AI trends in GRC and propose innovations to enhance risk management capabilities.
- 10Support production systems including Everbridge and Business Continuity in the Cloud, troubleshooting and resolving incidents promptly.
Requirements12
- 15+ years of hands-on experience with Archer, including versions 6 and above, core solutions, and on-demand applications.
- 2Expertise in configuring Archer layouts, advanced workflows, reporting, notifications, questionnaires, and access controls.
- 3Skilled in data-driven events, calculations, data feeds, imports, and integrations with internal and external systems.
- 4Proven ability to analyze business needs and provide recommendations for solution design and implementation.
- 5Experience delivering functional production support for Archer, Business Continuity in the Cloud, and other GRC platforms.
- 6Strong troubleshooting skills to debug complex configuration issues efficiently.
- 7Archer Professional Certification (Admin 1 and Admin 2) preferred.
- 8Experience with GRC, Third-party Risk Management, Issues Management, or Operational Risk Management is a plus.
- 9Familiarity with SaaS implementations of Archer and deployment considerations.
- 10Exposure to Everbridge or BC in the Cloud platforms is a strong plus.
- 11Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12Experience with test automation and understanding of AI in GRC is a plus.
