What You'll Do9
- 1Develop robust navigation systems for reliable autonomous operation amidst static and dynamic obstacles
- 2Build simulation-based and on-device evaluation frameworks with comprehensive benchmarks
- 3Conduct sim-to-real transfer experiments to bridge performance gaps between simulations and real-world deployment
- 4Collaborate with world model and manipulation teams to integrate navigation capabilities seamlessly
- 5Stay current with advancements in spatial reasoning and apply findings to enhance system performance
- 6Mentor scientists and engineers while maintaining strong technical contributions
- 7Lead technical projects and drive innovation in robot navigation methodologies
- 8Drive integration of hardware and software for intuitive robot interaction
- 9Analyze and benchmark navigation approaches including classical learning-based and foundation models
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons of industry or academic research experience
- 3PhD or Master's degree
- 4Strong publication record at major Robotics/ML/AI conferences
- 5Experience with sim-to-real transfer for robotic systems
- 6Proven track record of leading technical projects
- 7Mentoring junior scientists and engineers
- 8History of impactful first-author publications at top conferences
- 9Expertise in visual navigation semantic navigation or foundation models for robots
- 10Evaluation and benchmarking of multiple navigation approaches
- 11Reinforcement learning for legged robot control
