Senior Advanced Product Development QA Engineer Honeywell Aerospace
Overview
Lead ownership of design/development audits and drive process compliance across product lifecycle. Assess engineering activities and provide mentorship while ensuring alignment with AS9100 AS9115 DO-178 DO-254 ARP4754A standards. Interface with external customers and regulatory bodies to guarantee system safety and quality. This role differs by focusing on cross-functional coaching and regulatory interface.
What You'll Do11
- 1Conduct design/development audits at Honeywell Aerospace and supplier sites
- 2Participate in product development phases from concept to production
- 3Assess engineering activities and track non-conformances for software hardware systems
- 4Ensure compliance with defined procedures and regulatory standards
- 5Interface with external customers for assessments and provide feedback
- 6Provide guidance to engineering teams on design and development compliance
- 7Align supplier quality organizations with Honeywell and customer requirements
- 8Interface with regulatory personnel and external customers as needed
- 9Drive improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and quality
- 10Mentor less experienced engineers through coaching and collaboration
- 11Maintain documentation for audit trails and compliance records
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree from accredited institution in technical discipline
- 2Minimum 6 years engineering development experience or 6 years QA in relevant fields
- 3Ability to obtain security clearance due to export regulations
- 4Familiarity with AS9100 AS9115 DO-178 DO-254 ARP4754A standards
- 5Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate external stakeholders
- 6Strong communication and interpersonal skills with independent work style
- 7Experience evaluating complex processes and delivering actionable insights
- 8Self-starter mindset with initiative and judgment
- 9Minimum 6 years engineering experience
- 10Ability to convey complex messages clearly
