Security Officer, X-ray Screening & Access Control
Overview
You will safeguard a logistics and distribution site in Indianapolis, IN, monitoring access points and screening personnel and items with X-ray technology. You join the Allied Universal team, North America's leading security and facility services company, working a part-time day shift (Wednesday and Thursday, 06:00-14:00) at $17.22 per hour. You will conduct patrols, verify credentials, and respond to incidents, all while providing professional customer service. What You'll Do5
- 1Screen personnel, visitors, and permitted items entering designated areas using X-ray equipment and site procedures.
- 2Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping documentation, and report unauthorized access or irregular activity.
- 3Conduct regular and random patrols of building entrances, loading areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and incidents.
- 4Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- 5Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors, enforcing site-specific security policies and emergency response activities.
Requirements9
- 1Loss prevention experience preferred.
- 2Customer service experience preferred.
- 3Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
- 4Access control and badge experience preferred.
- 5X-ray screening experience preferred.
- 6At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent.
- 8Subject to background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law.
- 9Licensing may be required per state/local laws.
