Security Officer Reception Concierge, Front Desk
Overview
You will own front desk security for a retail location in McDonough, GA, welcoming visitors, managing access, and monitoring entry activity for a steady flow of guests and staff. As part of the Allied Universal team, you will work alongside a collaborative security unit that values integrity, reliability, and agility. This part-time role offers weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 3 PM - 11 PM) at $18.25/hour and access to the Claim a Shift platform to pick up extra hours. You will be the first point of contact, blending customer service with vigilant security protocols in a visible, high-touch position.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet and screen visitors, employees, and vendors at the front desk, verifying identification and access authorization with a professional demeanor.
- 2Issue visitor credentials and maintain accurate visitor and delivery logs using Microsoft Office and the site's visitor management system.
- 3Monitor access points, alarms, CCTV cameras, and other security systems from the front desk, documenting and escalating unusual activity per site procedures.
- 4Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following emergency protocols and coordinating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- 5Enforce site-specific security policies, including access control and badge verification, to maintain a secure environment for guests and team members.
- 6Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, giving directions, and assisting with general front desk support.
- 7Complete shift reports and incident documentation in the Allied Universal reporting system, ensuring accurate and timely records.
- 8Coordinate with delivery personnel and vendors, validating their purpose and managing their entry and exit according to access procedures.
Requirements6
- 118+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed positions.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Pass a background investigation and drug screen as required by federal, state, and local laws.
- 4Meet licensing requirements for security officers in Georgia, which may include completing Georgia Mandate training and obtaining a Security Officer License.
- 51+ years of customer service or security experience preferred, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 6Ability to stand for extended periods and work weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 3 PM - 11 PM).
