Security Officer Part Time Shelter Patrol, Unarmed & Government Site
Overview
This role owns on site security for a government operated facility within New York NY and supports residents, staff, and visitors through visible patrols and professional service. You’ll be part of a team that values integrity reliability and teamwork while contributing to community safety. This part time position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to explore additional shifts through the Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor areas handle access control and respond to incidents with calm professional communication.
What You'll Do5
- 1Provide customer service to residents visitors staff and service providers while executing site specific security procedures access protocols and emergency response activities at a government operated facility
- 2Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm professional problem solving manner notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as directed
- 3Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas including entrances common areas perimeters and parking locations to deter unauthorized activity
- 4Monitor access points and visitor activity verify authorization as required by site procedures and maintain accurate logs and incident reports
- 5Maintain a professional presence and support a respectful environment for individuals receiving services employees and visitors
Requirements7
- 1Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License
- 2Have at least 1 year of security related experience
- 3Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED
- 4Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- 5As a condition of employment be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws
- 6Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
- 7As a condition of employment be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
