Security Officer, Access Control Healthcare
Overview
You will own access point security at a healthcare facility in Lumberton, NJ, managing entry for patients, visitors, and staff across a 24/7 operation. What You'll Do8
- 1Monitor entry points and verify authorized access credentials per healthcare location policies.
- 2Maintain visitor logs and issue temporary access credentials as directed.
- 3Respond to incidents and critical situations with calm problem-solving, communicating details to leadership and site contacts.
- 4Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized entry.
- 5Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while enforcing access-control procedures.
- 6Report access concerns or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel promptly.
- 7Support a welcoming environment through visible presence and clear communication.
- 8Operate alarm panels and computer systems to track access activity and escalate alarms.
Requirements8
- 118+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Guard card or security license preferred.
- 4Customer service experience preferred.
- 5Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- 6Alarm panel experience preferred.
- 7Pass a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law.
- 8Valid driver's license for driving positions only.
