Security Guard Full Time Ferry Patrol

What You'll Do7
- 1Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at ferry terminal and waterfront locations
- 2Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned terminal areas, passenger waiting areas, access points, perimeter locations, and adjacent waterfront spaces
- 3Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and help maintain orderly pedestrian flow during ferry arrivals, departures, and periods of increased passenger volume
- 4Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures
- 5Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm professional problem-solving manner while notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services
- 6Own and drive vehicles as needed for route coverage within assigned geographic area
- 7Drive trucks equipped with secure compartments to transport equipment and supplies safely
Requirements7
- 1Valid New York State Security Guard License
- 2At least one year of security-related experience
- 3High school diploma or GED
- 4Age 18 for unarmed roles
- 5Background investigation compliance
- 6Drug screening eligibility
- 7Driver’s license for driving positions
