Overview
You will teach beginner tennis to K-5 students at Bay Area schools, leading groups of 8-16 with provided lesson plans and equipment. You will manage class flow, safety, and engagement across seasonal programs, from summer camps to after-school sessions. What You'll Do7
- 1Teach 60-minute tennis sessions using company lesson plans, adapting to skill levels and energy.
- 2Manage groups of 8-16 students, ensuring safety and active participation.
- 3Take attendance and manage student sign-in/out, confirming parent pick-up.
- 4Communicate professionally with parents and school staff, sharing program updates.
- 5Capture class photos for program documentation and parent engagement.
- 6Set up and clean up equipment for each session.
- 7Attend a 2-day training and shadowing session (2-3 hours per day) to learn program standards.
Requirements8
- 119 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 2Playing or coaching experience in tennis or sports, though not mandatory, is preferred.
- 3USPTA or PTR certification is a plus.
- 4Enjoy working with children and demonstrate strong classroom management.
- 5Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle for travel.
- 6Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
- 7Complete a TB test and Live Scan background check before start.
- 8Live in the Bay Area and be available for in-person work, with weekly schedule flexibility.
