Overview

What You'll Do10
- 1Build and administer medications and treatments per physician orders and district policies, ensuring student safety
- 2Develop and maintain IHPs and EAPs for students with chronic or acute conditions to support continuity of care
- 3Conduct health screenings and maintain confidential health records with accurate documentation
- 4Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and healthcare providers to promote health education and wellness throughout the school
- 5Participate in IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings to align health plans with educational goals
- 6Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and emergency medical response to students and staff when needed
- 7Monitor student health status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- 8Promote disease prevention and healthy behaviors within the school community
- 9Support school leadership in creating a safe, healthy learning environment
- 10Stay compliant with state licensing and school district policies and maintain CPR/BLS certification
Requirements5
- 1Active New Jersey RN license
- 2Current CPR/BLS certification
- 3Prior school nursing, pediatric, clinic, or community health experience preferred
- 4Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills
- 5Ability to work independently and collaboratively with students, families, and staff
