What You'll Do8
- 1Transport students safely on assigned routes and field trips using Type C buses.
- 2Complete pre-trip inspections of brakes, lights, and emergency exits before departure.
- 3Supervise boarding and unloading at stops, assisting students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
- 4Enforce bus conduct rules to keep driver distractions at zero.
- 5Report mechanical issues through the Fleet maintenance system within 30 minutes of discovery.
- 6Communicate with dispatch and parents about delays or behavioral incidents.
- 7Post-trip inspect for forgotten items and secure the cabin.
- 8Attend monthly safety meetings and complete online ELDT modules.
Requirements7
- 121+ years old with a valid driver's license held for 3+ years.
- 2Pass DOT physical and drug screening, including CDL medical card.
- 3Ability to obtain Class B CDL with P and S endorsements within 60 days.
- 40-2 years experience accepted; paid CDL training provided.
- 5No major violations in the trailing 3 years.
- 6Pass criminal background check per FMCSA rules.
- 7Comfort using tablets for route navigation and time tracking.
