What You'll Do10

  • 1Evaluate students to identify speech language communication and related needs
  • 2Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals and IEPs
  • 3Provide direct speech and language therapy services across assigned grade levels
  • 4Complete assessments evaluations progress reports and required documentation
  • 5Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers administrators families and related service providers
  • 6Deliver evidence-based interventions targeting articulation language development fluency and other areas of need
  • 7Monitor student progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary
  • 8Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district state and federal requirements
  • 9Support inclusive learning environments that encourage student growth and independence
  • 10Collaborate with educational teams to ensure appropriate services and accommodations

Requirements9

  • 1Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • 2Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure through the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (SLPAHADB)
  • 3Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA or completion of required Clinical Fellowship requirements
  • 4Completion of required supervised clinical experience
  • 5California Department of Education Speech-Language Pathology Services credential preferred based on assignment
  • 6Knowledge of IDEA special education compliance requirements and school-based service delivery models
  • 7Strong communication organization and collaboration skills
  • 8Ability to effectively support students with diverse communication needs
  • 9Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
