SAT Proctor and Testing Staff, Bay Area Test Centers
Overview
SAT testing staff support exam day operations at Bay Area college campuses for the Fall & Winter 2026 schedule. They manage testing rooms, verify student identities, and assist with digital check-in and device setup. Staff receive full training and gain regular access to future SAT administrations through 2028. This contract role offers a guaranteed day rate for morning or full-day shifts.
What You'll Do6
- 1Manage a testing room by verifying student IDs, reading instructions, and monitoring the environment.
- 2Operate digital tools and report irregularities to the Test Coordinator.
- 3Provide on-site technology support by checking device readiness and troubleshooting basic connectivity.
- 4Assist with room setup, student check-in, and directing traffic during breaks.
- 5Maintain a distraction-free testing environment by moving chairs or desks as needed.
- 6Stand or walk for up to 6 hours and climb stairs throughout the shift.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2At least 18 years old; proctors must be at least 25 years old
- 3Comfort supporting students and following detailed procedures
- 4Access to a laptop or tablet with dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)
- 5A smartphone with WhatsApp installed for test-day communication
- 6Ability to assist with moving desks and chairs
- 7Experience in education, events, or hospitality is helpful but not required
