Overview
You will own the cleanliness and hygiene of a busy hair salon in Washington, DC. This role keeps every surface spotless, from styling stations to restrooms, and ensures a welcoming environment for clients and staff. You will report to management and coordinate with stylists to maintain order. Full-time schedule, with flexibility for salon needs. What You'll Do8
- 1Sanitize all salon areas each shift, including reception, styling stations, washbasins, floors, and restrooms.
- 2Empty trash and replace liners throughout the day, keeping waste bins clean and odor-free.
- 3Disinfect styling tools and equipment between clients, following salon protocols.
- 4Restock towels, shampoos, and cleaning supplies in designated areas.
- 5Clean windows, mirrors, and furniture to a streak-free standard.
- 6Follow health and safety regulations for chemical handling and bloodborne pathogens.
- 7Report maintenance issues or damages to management immediately.
- 8Keep the salon organized, ensuring stations are ready for the next client.
Requirements6
- 11+ years in commercial cleaning or janitorial work preferred.
- 2Detail-oriented with a thorough approach to sanitation.
- 3Ability to operate vacuum, mop, and other cleaning equipment.
- 4Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with minimal supervision.
- 5Comfortable standing for extended periods and using stairs.
- 6Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
