Safety Manager Position Atlanta Nashville
Overview
The Safety Manager leads regional safety initiatives across Atlanta and Nashville markets. This role drives proactive safety culture ensures regulatory compliance and reduces risk while protecting employees and assets. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on field presence through coaching training and direct involvement.
What You'll Do12
- 1Lead all safety initiatives across Atlanta and Nashville regions ensuring consistent implementation of safety programs policies and procedures
- 2Develop and foster safety accountability through leadership coaching communication and employee engagement
- 3Conduct routine branch shop fleet and jobsite safety audits to maintain compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
- 4Partner with Branch Managers Production Managers Account Managers and field leadership to identify safety risks and implement corrective actions
- 5Lead investigations for workplace injuries vehicle accidents property damage and near miss incidents performing root cause analysis and ensuring timely corrective action
- 6Monitor OSHA compliance and ensure adherence to federal state and local safety regulations
- 7Develop coordinate and deliver safety training programs including new hire orientation toolbox talks defensive driving equipment operations heat illness prevention and other required training
- 8Maintain all safety documentation training records inspection reports and incident files in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
- 9Analyze safety trends incident data and audit findings to identify continuous improvement opportunities prepare and present monthly regional safety performance reports
- 10Conduct periodic fleet safety inspections and partner with branch leadership to improve vehicle safety and DOT compliance
- 11Support workers compensation management by coordinating investigations return-to-work programs and communication with HR and insurance partners
- 12Respond to emergency situations and significant incidents as needed including occasional after hours support
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety environmental health or related field preferred
- 25+ years of safety leadership experience
- 3OSHA 30 CSP CHST or ASP certification preferred
- 4Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
- 5Valid driver’s license required and ability to travel frequently
- 6Ability to walk stand stoop bend kneel and climb for extended periods
- 7Frequent regional travel work outdoors in varying weather conditions
