Robotics Solutions Engineer
Overview
Design and deploy robotic medical systems in hospital and manufacturing settings. Own system lifecycle from setup to de-installation while ensuring reliability and compliance. Drive improvements in service efficiency and patient outcomes.
What You'll Do14
- 1Perform system set-up movement installation and commissioning support preventive maintenance repair calibration testing upgrades de-installation activities
- 2Troubleshoot mechanical electrical electro-mechanical software firmware and system-performance issues using approved documentation and diagnostic tools
- 3Respond to scheduled and unscheduled service needs to maintain uptime and customer satisfaction
- 4Complete inspections field actions software and firmware updates service-tool validation activities
- 5Escalate complex technical issues and collaborate with RSEs technical support and cross-functional partners
- 6Coordinate with hospital stakeholders regarding service visits equipment access site readiness and safe movement
- 7Maintain complete service records including work orders field documentation parts usage time records product-performance information
- 8Manage spare parts calibrated tools service equipment laptops and other assets according to inventory protocols
- 9Follow hospital protocols privacy requirements infection-prevention practices GMP ISO expectations and environmental health safety standards
- 10Apply time management to balance planned work customer needs documentation and travel requirements
- 11Participate in technical training and share field knowledge to strengthen service capability
- 12Support continuous improvement by analyzing service data identifying recurring issues and recommending enhancements
- 13Develop productive relationships with customers coworkers and cross-functional partners
- 14Provide status updates and communicate service risks delays and issues to leadership
Requirements16
- 1Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Robotics or related field
- 22-3 years of field service experience in medical devices robotics or capital equipment
- 3Foundational knowledge of mechanical electrical electro-mechanical software and computer-based troubleshooting
- 4Experience supporting installation commissioning sustain calibration functional testing or preventive maintenance
- 5Basic knowledge of regulated medical-device environments including quality-system documentation GMP ISO and safety expectations
- 6Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- 7Professional customer-service abilities and communication skills in English
- 8Ability to organize and prioritize work while maintaining accurate documentation
- 9Capacity to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
- 10Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- 11Experience with CRM or service-management systems such as Microsoft Dynamics preferred
- 12Basic understanding of parts inventory service tools and calibrated-equipment controls
- 13Ability to learn standard software and firmware upgrade processes remote-support practices and service-tool workflows
- 14Valid driver's license and meet hospital credentialing requirements
- 15Flexible availability including early mornings evenings weekends and on-call coverage
- 16Physical ability to stand bend kneel and work in confined spaces lifting up to 45 lbs
