RN/LPN Home Care Night Nurse, Oak Park IL
Overview
As a RN or LPN on our night shift team in Oak Park, you will own 1-on-1 patient care for children and adults in their homes, starting with your first Monday night from 7pm to 7am. You will join a supportive group of 30+ nurses backed by 24/7 RN support, with weekly pay and flexible scheduling. This contract role stands out because it requires no pediatric or home care experience, making it accessible to new graduates and experienced nurses alike.
What You'll Do6
- 1Deliver 1-on-1 nursing care to a pediatric or adult patient, following the physician's care plan from day one.
- 2Assess patient condition each shift, documenting observations in patient charts with EMR software.
- 3Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- 4Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, promoting patient dignity.
- 5Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the care team immediately.
- 6Provide caregiver relief, giving family caregivers a break while ensuring patient safety.
Requirements6
- 1Active IL Nursing License in good standing with the Illinois Board of Nursing.
- 2Current CPR Certification from the American Heart Association.
- 3Ability to work Monday nights, 7pm-7am, with availability for full-time, part-time, or PRN shifts.
- 4Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN program (new graduates welcome).
- 5No prior pediatric or home care experience required, but 1+ years of clinical nursing experience is a plus.
- 6Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a home setting.
