RN Nurse Educator, Spanish Speaking (NYC)
Overview
You will teach the New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) curriculum to Spanish-speaking students at an HHA Training Institute in Glendale, Queens. You will work Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, earning $50 per hour. You will join a team committed to mentoring future home health aides and advancing care quality. With 6+ months of RN experience and BLS certification, you will shape the next generation of caregivers.
What You'll Do8
- 1Teach the New York State HHA curriculum to bilingual students.
- 2Deliver interactive lessons on patient care, safety, and daily living skills.
- 3Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- 4Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- 5Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grading.
- 6Coordinate with institute staff to ensure curriculum compliance.
- 7Demonstrate clinical procedures and supervise practice sessions.
- 8Support students in achieving HHA certification benchmarks.
Requirements9
- 1Current New York State RN License & Registration.
- 2BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- 36+ months of RN experience, preferably in home care or education.
- 4Spanish speaking fluency (bilingual required).
- 5Malpractice insurance covering the role.
- 6NPI Number active and on file.
- 7Physical and QuantiFERON completed within the past year.
- 8MMR titers or proof of immunity within the past ten years.
- 9Two professional references.
