Overview
We are seeking a dedicated RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to join our Quality Improvement Consulting team based in Kansas City Missouri. This full-time remote position requires significant travel up to 75 percent. The successful candidate will support internal and external clients nationwide while contributing to a technically exciting environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations
- 2Perform surveys including re-certification comparative complaint investigations and revisits across diverse settings
- 3Apply approved survey protocols for on-site assessments
- 4Prepare facilities through off-site preparation tours and observe care records and conduct staff family interviews
- 5Determine if care meets Federal requirements and evaluate facility systems from care quality to consumer rights
- 6Communicate non-compliance issues with key personnel during reviews and exit conferences
- 7Assess effectiveness of facility correction plans through follow-up visits
- 8Train facility and bureau staff
- 9Participate in work groups as needed
Requirements7
- 1Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- 2Completed CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test
- 3Two years of recent experience surveying long-term care facilities
- 4Current RN licensure
- 5Ability to travel up to 75 percent regularly
- 6Strong independent decision-making and priority management skills
- 7Experience discussing conflicts and seeking assistance for resolution
