Restaurant Manager, Quick Service & Team Leadership
Overview
You will run daily restaurant operations at a high-volume Steak 'n Shake, owning the front line from shift open to close. You will direct a crew of 15-30 team members, uphold food safety and service standards, and hit sales and cost targets alongside the General Manager. This role reports directly to the GM and serves as the right hand in executing business strategy. What You'll Do10
- 1Direct daily shift operations, assigning stations and monitoring throughput to meet speed of service targets.
- 2Coach crew members on the Gold Standard in service, correcting behavior and recognizing wins in real time.
- 3Own food safety and sanitation checks, ensuring compliance with ServSafe or company standards each shift.
- 4Partner with the General Manager to hit P&L goals, controlling labor and food costs through smart scheduling.
- 5Resolve guest complaints on the spot, turning negative experiences into repeat visits.
- 6Train new hires on register, grill, and prep procedures, using checklists to drive consistency.
- 7Drive sales by upselling combo meals and promoting loyalty app sign-ups during peak hours.
- 8Monitor inventory levels and place orders with approved vendors to avoid stockouts.
- 9Lead store openings and closings, balancing cash drawers and securing the facility.
- 10Hold daily pre-shift huddles to align the team on goals, promotions, and safety reminders.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of shift lead or assistant manager experience in a fast food or full service restaurant.
- 2Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to work scheduled shifts.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent; some college or ServSafe certification preferred.
- 4Demonstrated leadership, including coaching and holding team members accountable.
- 5Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 6Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 7Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory counts.
