Overview
You will run daily operations at an IHOP location in Austin, TX, with full ownership of shift performance and guest experience. The restaurant seats 120+ and generates $2M+ annual revenue. You will work alongside a General Manager and a team of 20+ hourly staff, reporting directly to the District Manager. What You'll Do8
- 1Drive daily sales growth by adjusting labor and inventory to hit P&L targets within the first 90 days.
- 2Schedule and supervise up to 15 hourly employees per shift, using IHOP's labor management system.
- 3Interview and hire hourly staff, targeting a 90-day retention rate of 70%.
- 4Conduct new-hire orientation and ongoing training sessions, covering IHOP service standards and safety protocols.
- 5Provide written feedback to team members during shift reviews to improve service speed and accuracy.
- 6Close the shift by reconciling cash, completing Daily Sales Reports and Daily Cash Interims, and securing the store.
- 7Audit the dining room and kitchen to maintain ServSafe cleanliness levels and prevent safety incidents.
- 8Implement loss-prevention procedures for the storeroom, freezer, and office to reduce shrinkage by 5%.
Requirements8
- 12-5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in casual dining.
- 2Track record of hitting sales and labor targets in a high-volume environment.
- 3Hands-on leadership style with ability to coach and develop team members.
- 4Excellent verbal and written communication skills for staff and guest interactions.
- 5Proven problem-solving skills in fast-paced service situations.
