What You'll Do8

  • 1Install 120/240V wiring, service panels, and GFCI circuits for new homes in Northern Virginia
  • 2Lead a crew of 2-3 electricians on rough-in and trim-out phases, ensuring code compliance
  • 3Coordinate with general contractors and inspectors to pass electrical inspections on first attempt
  • 4Cut, bend, and run conduit and cable to blueprint specifications
  • 5Wire lighting, receptacles, switches, and appliances with precision
  • 6Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during pre-walk and final walk-throughs
  • 7Enforce job site safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
  • 8Own project timelines, labor allocation, and material orders for designated homes

Requirements8

  • 15+ years of residential electrical experience, with at least 2 years as a foreman
  • 2Journeyman or Master Electrician license for Virginia or ability to obtain reciprocity
  • 3Valid driver's license with clean record and dependable transportation
  • 4Own tools necessary for residential electrical work (power tools, hand tools, conduit benders)
  • 5Proficient in reading blueprints and NEC code requirements
  • 6Experience with copper wiring, MC cable, and PVC conduit
  • 7Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work from ladders, and tolerate attic/crawlspace work
  • 8Strong communication skills for coordinating with homeowners, GCs, and inspectors
