Reimbursement Manager, Oncology Field (Columbus)
Overview
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. The role leads field reimbursement education and access for oncology therapies in the Columbus area with 50% on-site HCP engagement. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, and PECS to address reimbursement and access barriers across payer types. This position develops payer policy insight, builds trusted relationships, and drives patient access at scale. What You'll Do10
- 1Build field-based reimbursement education and access support for HCPs, detailing payer processes, coding, and submissions
- 2Collaborate with sales and account teams to act as the reimbursement expert for the local oncology territory
- 3Address critical access and affordability issues with a sense of urgency to support patient treatment initiation
- 4Partner with managed care colleagues to understand current policies and anticipated changes
- 5Conduct field-based reimbursement activities and problem-solving aligned to FRM Rules of Engagement
- 6Maintain strong relationships with customers across assigned oncology accounts
- 7Manage territory logistics, routing, and business planning to maximize access impact
- 8Grow knowledge of market dynamics including coverage and coding requirements across payers
- 9Collaborate with internal departments to share education insights on access and affordability
- 10Serve as subject matter expert on payer access across Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial plans
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business/public administration required
- 2Minimum of 5 years experience in Account Management or Reimbursement in provider settings
- 3Experience with both pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefits, coding, and billing
- 4Reimbursement or managed care experience including prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes
- 5Ability to build relationships across a matrix organization and influence stakeholders
- 6Strong communication skills and ability to work mostly in person with up to 50% travel
- 7Valid US driver’s license and driving record meeting company standards
- 8Preferred: Oncology disease state experience and advanced certifications in prior authorization or billing and coding
- 9Proven ability to navigate complex access scenarios and deliver timely solutions
- 10Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting reimbursement
