Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Rehab
Overview
Own nursing care for a 18-bed CARF-accredited acute rehab unit, serving 13 patients daily with an average stay of 13 days. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physiatrists, therapists, and social workers. This role demands full engagement in patient-centered rehab nursing, with opportunities for RN Rehab Course certification within the first year. Part-time day/evening schedule at Blessing Hospital in Boston.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assess patient and family health problems and resources on admission and throughout the rehab stay.
- 2Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans with the rehab team.
- 3Deliver direct nursing care and interventions to patients with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, strokes, and other neurologic conditions.
- 4Lead the rehab nursing team in coordinating daily care activities and patient education.
- 5Collaborate with physiatrists, therapists, social workers, and discharge planners to optimize patient outcomes.
- 6Document patient progress and adjust care plans based on evaluation results.
- 7Provide care across age populations from child to geriatric, adapting to developmental needs.
- 8Participate in performance improvement and patient safety initiatives aligned with hospital mission.
Requirements6
- 1Graduate of an RN School of Nursing with current State RN license.
- 2Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 3One year nursing experience preferred for weekender/per diem roles.
- 4BSN preferred.
- 5Complete RN Rehab Course within one year of hire.
- 6Ability to work part-time days/evenings, 7am-7:30pm, 24 hours per week.
Salary Insight
