What You'll Do17

• 1Ensure appropriate use and stewardship of medical supplies and equipment to support patient safety and operational efficiency
• 2Ensure safe and effective handoff communication and documentation
• 3Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy and enforces safety regulations
• 4Promote a positive patient experience by demonstrating caring behaviors, maintaining clear communication, and collaborating with the care team to provide safe, timely, and effective whole-person care

• 6Demonstrates critical thinking skills appropriate to patient's level of care
• 7Collects and documents patient health data systematically and timely

• 9Implements interventions from the plan of care timely safely and appropriately documenting actions taken
• 10Collaborates and promotes timely patient placement by following hospital policy for patient admission discharge and transfer
• 11Participates in peer interviewing as needed
• 12Administers medications and treatments as prescribed ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols
• 13Communicates effectively with patients families physicians and staff maintaining professional relationships and promoting a positive environment
• 14Educates patients and families on health conditions procedures and care plans ensuring understanding and compliance based on assessed needs
• 15Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies ensuring legal and ethical practice
• 16Participates in initiatives related to quality safety effectiveness efficiency and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services
