You'll meet with clients regularly, document visits in the EHR, and review recovery goals, all while supporting engagement and motivation across multiple frameworks of care. Working remotely on a set schedule, you'll collaborate with medical providers and behavioral health staff to deliver holistic, evidence-based treatment. This role stands out because you'll apply Motivational Interviewing consistently and help shape quality improvement metrics, making a direct impact on expanding access to effective OUD care.

  • 3Document client visits in the EHR in real time, maintaining quality suitable for medical providers.
  • 4Track client progress using patient management tools, keeping patients engaged between medical visits and documenting their participation in treatment and support services.
  • 5Engage clients in conversation and education about substance use, treatment, and recovery, providing resources for their goals.
  • 6Identify barriers to full participation in the program and communicate them to the clinical team for effective resolution.
  • 7Maintain close, efficient communication with medical providers and support staff on assigned clients' care.
  • 8Attend and contribute to team meetings, supporting quality improvement metrics and program initiatives.

Requirements9

  • 12+ years of experience as a peer recovery coach, peer support worker, or addiction counselor.
  • 22+ years of experience in a medical practice or behavioral health field, including EHR documentation and close communication with providers.

  • 6Understanding of confidentiality requirements for handling client information.
  • 7Ability to practice self-care to maintain emotional well-being while supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • 8Demonstrated ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team focused on company-level goals.
  • 9Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
