Reconditioning Manager, Automotive & Lean Manufacturing
Overview
Lean manufacturing leadership role leading a Reconditioning Center team of 5+ leads and up to 70 associates. You will own daily operations, talent development, and continuous improvement to meet quality, production, and cost objectives. You will partner with site leadership to advance strategic goals and uphold Carvana values. This role emphasizes culture, safety, and high performance in a fast environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and lead day to day operations within the Inspection Center to meet production targets
- 2Mentor and develop direct reports and succession plans through coaching and training
- 3Drive strategic planning and alignment with company goals and continuous improvement initiatives
- 4Ensure adherence to standards, policies, procedures, and performance metrics
- 5Create a collaborative work environment that fosters open communication and high engagement
- 6Oversee staffing by recruiting, onboarding, and training supervisory and front line teams
- 7Coordinate capacity planning to maintain adequate production levels for each line
- 8Enforce health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines across the team
- 9Guide reconditioning teams in achieving quality, production, and cost objectives
- 10Lead problem solving and continuous improvement projects with measurable outcomes
Requirements5
- 15+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing environments
- 2Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- 3Experience leading and developing associates
- 4Proven ability to meet project deliverables and company metrics
- 5Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
