Radiologic Technologist, Mobile X-Ray & EKG
Overview
You will own mobile X-Ray and EKG service delivery across nursing homes and health care facilities in the Washington, D.C. area. ARRT Certification and a valid driver's license are required to operate independently. You'll work with portable DR and CR equipment, transmitting images to radiologists for interpretation. This role demands self-direction, reliable communication with dispatch, and strict adherence to patient safety protocols.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform and process X-Rays using portable DR or CR equipment, transmitting images to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- 2Unload portable X-Ray equipment at facilities and capture clinically diagnostic images per physician orders.
- 3Perform EKGs and transmit results to a Cardiologist when required.
- 4Scan paperwork and billing documents daily per protocol.
- 5Communicate with dispatch and management regularly, responding to urgent messages within 15 minutes.
- 6Maintain vehicle and X-Ray equipment, reporting malfunctions immediately.
- 7Verify patient identity with two identifiers and confirm orders against the chart before imaging.
- 8Train other technologists as required and attend meetings as scheduled.
- 9Follow radiation protection standards and company policies, including dress code and vehicle use.
Requirements8
- 1ARRT Certification and current state licenses required.
- 2Valid driver's license in good standing and ability to pass periodic checks.
- 31+ years of experience in mobile radiography preferred.
- 4Ability to lift and position portable X-Ray equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- 5Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with little to no direct supervision.
- 6Must pass medical physical, TB screening, and annual infection control in-service.
- 7Experience with Holter Monitor connection and disconnection is a plus.
- 8Professional communication skills with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
