What You'll Do8
- 1Administer radiation therapy treatments per physician prescriptions and ARRT standards.
- 2Position patients using immobilization devices, ensuring accurate and reproducible setups.
- 3Operate linear accelerators and imaging equipment for daily treatments.
- 4Collaborate with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists to verify treatment plans.
- 5Monitor patients during treatment, responding to any adverse reactions promptly.
- 6Document treatment sessions in EHR systems, maintaining precise records.
- 7Perform daily quality assurance checks on radiation equipment to ensure safety.
- 8Educate patients on treatment procedures and side effects management.
Requirements8
- 11-2 years of radiation therapy experience in a clinical setting.
- 2Associate's degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy; Bachelor's preferred.
- 3Graduate of a JRCERT approved program and registered through ARRT in Radiation Therapy.
- 4Active Ohio state license as a radiation therapist.
- 5Current AHA BLS certification.
- 6Proven ability to solve problems and facilitate resolutions in high-pressure situations.
- 7Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- 8Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions.
