What You'll Do7

  • 1Perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections on CFM56 engines and other powerplants.
  • 2Execute return-to-service functions in accordance with FAA regulations and approved technical data.
  • 3Verify major repairs and alterations used proper tools and test equipment, flagging any unauthorized deviations.
  • 4Complete inspection tasks on job cards and travelers, recording discrepancies and corrective actions.
  • 5Review maintenance entries, installed parts, material tags, and tool sign-offs for accuracy.
  • 6Conduct receiving inspections on parts, materials, and tooling, issuing identification tags.
  • 7Mentor new inspectors and support their training on inspection methods and techniques.

Requirements6

  • 13-5 years of experience in aircraft jet engine maintenance.
  • 2Active Airframe and Powerplant license required.
  • 3Proficiency with borescope inspection and interpretation of technical data.
  • 4Strong knowledge of CFM56 engine models and maintenance procedures.
  • 5Familiar with FAA regulations governing engine maintenance and repairs.
  • 6Exceptional attention to detail and mastery of inspection tools and techniques.
