QA Automation Lead, Selenium & Test Frameworks
Overview
Own the design and delivery of scalable automated test frameworks for a leader in automotive services software. You will architect Selenium and Java based solutions, direct a team of QA engineers, and shape testing strategy across hybrid cloud platforms. This contract role embeds you with the client in Draper, Utah, collaborating 2-3 days weekly. Your first 90 days will cut regression cycle times by automating critical paths and establishing continuous integration quality gates.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and build robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and Java within the first 90 days
- 2Drive the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous delivery with Jenkins
- 3Lead a team of 3-5 QA engineers, mentoring on best practices in code review and test design
- 4Develop and maintain test data management with SQL and REST API testing tools
- 5Execute performance and load testing strategies with JMeter to validate system scalability
- 6Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and automate regression suites
- 7Champion the adoption of BDD with Cucumber to unify business and technical requirements
- 8Own the defect lifecycle, coordinating triage and root cause analysis to speed resolution
- 9Report quality metrics and progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment
Requirements9
- 15+ years in QA automation with hands-on Selenium and Java
- 23+ years leading QA teams, with proven ability to mentor
- 32+ years building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Git
- 4Strong SQL skills for backend validation and test data setup
- 5Hands-on experience with REST API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured
- 6Solid understanding of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow
- 72+ years working in Agile environments, participating in daily stand-ups and sprint planning
- 8Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 9Willingness to work hybrid in Draper, Utah, and pass coding interviews
