Overview
You'll build Python applications for a major NYC bank, owning features end-to-end in an agile squad. You'll collaborate with traders and quants to automate workflows and data pipelines. This 6-month contract offers exposure to Postgres and GitLab in a fast-paced trading environment. Your work directly impacts daily trading decisions.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build Python services that automate trade data ingestion and reconciliation.
- 2Design asynchronous workflows to handle real-time market data streams.
- 3Develop and maintain SQL queries for Postgres reporting and analytics.
- 4Integrate with internal APIs and third-party systems using GitLab CI/CD.
- 5Debug production issues and ship fixes within the first 90 days.
- 6Collaborate with quants to prototype and productionize pricing models.
- 7Own code reviews and testing for new features in Python.
Requirements6
- 10-3 years of Python development experience.
- 2Proficiency with GitLab or similar version control systems.
- 3Strong SQL skills, Postgres preferred.
- 4Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- 5Experience with asynchronous programming patterns.
- 6Ability to work 5 days onsite in Midtown Manhattan.
