Purchasing Assistant, Procurement & Inventory
Overview
You will own purchase order tracking and vendor delivery updates across Home Delivery pharmacies, managing 3+ years of inventory data in Oracle and MS Excel. You will run daily reports, resolve escalated issues, and support buyers during high-volume periods. This role drives accuracy in a fast-moving supply chain, with direct impact on medication availability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers, using MS Office to maintain records and logs. Daily work is hybrid, 3 days per week, from sites like Florence, NJ, or St. Louis, MO.
What You'll Do7
- 1Track inventory purchase orders and update backorders for Home Delivery pharmacies and vendors, using Excel and Oracle.
- 2Update vendor delivery promises to reflect accurate dates, enabling buyer action on 340B purchases.
- 3Run daily reports on metrics and issues, presenting findings to buyers and leaders.
- 4Create purchase orders for 340B clients and Drug Sourcing directed investment buys.
- 5Research and resolve vendor submission issues, ensuring clean data in Oracle.
- 6Place purchase orders for a formulary of drugs during high-volume periods.
- 7Assist buyers with project work to meet department goals, applying MS Office skills.
Requirements8
- 13+ years experience in purchasing, inventory control, warehouse, receiving, or related field.
- 2High school diploma or GED.
- 3Proficient in MS Excel with advanced functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- 4Knowledge of Oracle or related inventory management system.
- 5Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- 6Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external suppliers.
- 7Ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines.
- 8Proven presentation skills for reporting to leadership.
Salary Insight
