Overview
We seek a detail oriented Purchasing Assistant to coordinate vendor interactions, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely deliveries. This role supports purchasing department by identifying needs, researching vendors, creating purchase orders, following up on deliveries, verifying invoices, maintaining records, and assisting report preparation. It contributes to policy development and ensures efficient cost-effective procurement.
What You'll Do9
- 1Collaborate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and requirements
- 2Research potential vendors and obtain quotes for goods and services
- 3Compare prices specifications and delivery dates to determine best vendor
- 4Create and maintain purchase orders and purchase requisitions
- 5Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery meeting shipping requirements
- 6Verify invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with vendors
- 7Maintain accurate records of purchases inventory levels and vendor contracts
- 8Assist in preparing reports on purchasing activities including cost savings and vendor performance
- 9Contribute to development of purchasing policies and procedures
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- 31-2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement role preferred
- 4Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- 5Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- 6Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word
- 7Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in fast-paced environment
Salary Insight
$31 - $46k per year
