Project Manager Modernization Officer HACE
Overview
The Project Manager Modernization Officer leads modernization initiatives for the Modernization Department at the Housing Authority of Elizabeth. This role supports the Director of Modernization in executing HUD Capital Fund Program projects. Responsibilities include monitoring construction progress and securing necessary approvals. The position requires expertise in managing complex projects while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Do11
- 1Conduct site walks to assess project progress and identify potential issues
- 2Obtain federal wage decisions for each new project
- 3Set up labor compliance files and verify weekly payroll submissions
- 4Attend weekly construction meetings with A/E and general contractors
- 5Process change orders for approved proposals
- 6Collaborate with architects contractors and regulatory agencies to ensure specification adherence
- 7Assist with contract administration and permit acquisition
- 8Ensure HUD and regulatory documentation is complete and timely
- 9Interact with supervisors contractors and other staff members
- 10Prepare bid packages and assist with planning specifications and cost estimates
- 11Help prepare monthly board meeting materials
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
- 2Minimum 3 years project management experience
- 3Strong understanding of construction processes and building codes
- 4Knowledge of HUD Capital Fund Program preferred
- 5Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- 6Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- 7Effective communication and collaboration skills
- 8Detail-oriented mindset focused on accuracy and quality
Salary Insight
$65 - $80k per year
