Program Manager Oncology, US Medical Affairs
Overview
You will own cross-functional program management for US Medical Affairs Oncology (USMAO), driving strategic medical planning and execution for USOBU oncology brands. You will coordinate with in-house and field medical teams, manage budgets, timelines, and KPIs, and ensure alignment across Finance, Global Medical Affairs, and other stakeholders. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge GxP technologies and partnerships with industry leaders like Microsoft, Google, and Oracle. You will shape project management best practices across therapeutic areas while working in a fast-paced consulting environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Drive program management for USMAO oncology therapeutic areas, applying advanced project management skills to support medical leads and cross-functional teams.
- 2Oversee project progress, prioritize initiatives, and monitor KPIs to ensure alignment with US Oncology Business Unit goals.
- 3Lead budget planning and process management guidance for oncology programs, ensuring compliance with SOPs and guidelines.
- 4Facilitate strategic medical planning cycles, including annual brand strategy, tactical plans, and mid-year check-ins, using data analysis to inform decisions.
- 5Collaborate with cross-organizational stakeholders such as Finance and Global Medical Affairs Oncology to ensure alignment and identify improvement opportunities.
- 6Manage meeting communications, from agenda development to action items, and maintain SharePoint and Microsoft Teams sites.
- 7Champion operational excellence by engaging with project management counterparts to promote best practices and process improvements.
- 8Drive vendor performance management and mitigation of issues to ensure successful project outcomes.
- 9Anticipate risks, dependencies, and issues, and escalate to leadership when necessary, ensuring proactive communication.
- 10Support strategic feedback and updates to the USMAO Oncology Leadership Team (OLT) to drive decisions.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of project management experience in healthcare, or High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- 2Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with deep understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
- 3Demonstrated success working in matrix teams and influencing outcomes and key project decisions.
- 4Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to present to stakeholders at all levels.
- 5Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- 6Experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- 7Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with proactive problem-solving skills.
- 8Preferred experience in oncology and finance/background.
- 9Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
Salary Insight
$187 - $218k per year
