Program Director - Healthy Steps
Overview
HealthySteps is a unique, proven pediatric primary care program focused on healthy early child development and effective parenting. The Program Director oversees the program ensuring it meets the physical emotional spiritual and social needs of the population served caregivers and the community.
What You'll Do7
- 1Coordinates manages mentors provides reflective supervision coaches and supervises staff interns and volunteers to enhance delivery of HealthySteps services
- 2Manages program budget implements residency training and curriculum ensures program fidelity evaluation and department reporting
- 3Develops clinical training presentations and grant proposals participates in special projects
- 4Conducts office visits works with pediatric providers coordinates care counseling coaching and education about child development
- 5Provides anticipatory guidance to parents on early learning fussiness sleep feeding discipline toilet training
- 6Offers referrals tracks follow ups connects families to community resources facilitates parent education groups
- 7Participates in reflective supervision with colleagues
Requirements5
- 1Master’s Degree in psychology social work counseling early childhood education or related field
- 2Minimum two years supervisory experience managing grant funded programs
- 3Knowledge of early childhood growth development parent child relationships child health infant mental health family systems
- 4Experience evaluating infants and children under three years old
- 5Licensed professional preferred
