Overview

You will own production and field service testing for complex electro-mechanical instruments at ATR International's San Jose facility, debugging analog and digital assemblies down to component level. Working alongside a small engineering team, you will interpret schematics, perform rework, and develop test procedures from blueprints. This 6-month contract offers overtime and weekend work, with potential to convert to direct hire based on performance. New BSEE graduates are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Set up and calibrate specialized test equipment for sub-assembly and system-level functional tests.
  • 2Troubleshoot rejected analog and digital assemblies to component level using oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • 3Read and follow Test Process Instructions (TPIs) to execute semi-routine assignments with occasional deviations.
  • 4Perform production and field service returns testing, documenting root cause analysis in technical reports.
  • 5Evaluate and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical instruments, identifying faulty components.
  • 6Assemble and disassemble electronic equipment using basic hand tools, performing modifications and rework.
  • 7Assist in developing test specifications and methods from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
  • 8Recommend solutions to technical problems based on detailed analysis of test data.

Requirements7

  • 12+ years of manufacturing electronic test technician experience.
  • 2Ability to interpret schematics and drawings for modifications and rework.
  • 3Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and basic hand tools for assembly and disassembly.
  • 4Proven root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills for analog and digital circuits.
  • 5Availability for overtime and weekend work beyond the minimum 40 hr./wk.
  • 6New BSEE graduates are encouraged to apply; no specific degree required.
  • 7Must be able to follow established procedures and work independently on routine tasks.
