Production Technician, Manufacturing & Machine Setup
Overview
You will set up machinery and equipment for light processing operations, ensuring parts meet tolerance and quality standards at a climate-controlled facility in Hanover, MA. You will join a manufacturing team of 15+ operators and technicians, reporting to the Production Supervisor. You will train other personnel and contribute to problem-solving sessions. The role offers $21/hr, weekly overtime, and a 401k match.
What You'll Do8
- 1Set up machinery and equipment for processing operations within the first 90 days, meeting tolerance and quality standards.
- 2Operate production equipment to produce parts or finished goods, maintaining output at 95%+ quality yield.
- 3Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including data entry into ERP systems.
- 4Participate in group meetings and problem-solving sessions to improve process efficiency.
- 5Provide input on work planning and scheduling to meet production targets.
- 6Train other manufacturing personnel on product, process, and quality procedures.
- 7Perform quality checks using calipers and gauges, documenting results.
- 8Support changeovers and setup adjustments to minimize downtime.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of production or machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 10-hour shifts.
- 3Proficiency in documentation and data entry using MS Excel.
- 4Experience with mixing and batch processes is a plus.
- 5High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
- 7Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- 8Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
