Production Operator, Plastic Molding & Finishing
Overview
Own the setup, operation, and support of plastic molding and finishing in a high heat manufacturing environment at scale. You will manage material preparation, tooling, and post process tasks across multiple areas of the line. You will follow written instructions and quality standards while contributing to a safe, reliable production flow. This role offers hands-on growth with training to operate rotational molding machinery and related equipment.
What You'll Do11
- 1Build and run molding processes according to written instructions and SOPs to ensure consistent output
- 2Measure and weigh resins and raw materials with a basic scale to ensure accurate input quantities
- 3Assemble, adjust, and support machine operations using hand and power tools
- 4Finish products by cleaning, labeling, and organizing completed orders for shipment or storage
- 5Lift and move materials and finished goods up to 50 pounds for machine tasks and 30 pounds for finishing work
- 6Assist with general labor on the floor including weighing products and supporting teammates
- 7Stand for extended periods near molding machines and finishing stations
- 8Follow all work instructions, production guidelines, and quality standards to ensure output quality
- 9Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper tool/material storage
- 10Participate in training to learn rotational molding machinery and related equipment
- 11Communicate production needs, issues, and progress with supervisors and team members
Requirements10
- 1Experience in heavy machine operation or a construction related environment or comparable hands on industrial experience
- 2Ability to follow written instructions accurately in a production setting
- 3Ability to read and use a basic weighing machine to measure resins and other raw materials
- 4Comfort working in a hot environment around rotational molding machines
- 5Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds for machine tasks and 30 pounds for finishing tasks
- 6Proficiency using basic hand tools for assembly, adjustment and finishing work
- 7Ability to safely use power tools for assembling products and adding accessories
- 8Willingness to stand for extended periods during the shift
- 9Reliability in working assigned shifts and availability for mandatory overtime on Saturdays during peak periods
- 10High school diploma not required
