Production Operator, Plastic Film Manufacturing & Extrusion
Overview
You will own production operations across extrusion, bagging, and material handling in a high-volume plastic film plant in Rockwall, TX, with 12-hour rotating shifts and pay up to $19.25/hr. The team spans five specialty roles: Extrusion Operator, Bag Operator, Press Helper, Custodian (Heavy Lifting), and Ink Part Washer. You will join a 24/7 manufacturing environment that prioritizes safety, GMP standards, and teamwork to hit nightly production targets. Shift options include A, B, C, and D rotations, so you can choose days or nights that fit your life.
What You'll Do6
- 1Operate extrusion and bagging machinery to produce plastic film, monitoring output for quality and efficiency.
- 2Support machine setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime during 12-hour shifts.
- 3Handle raw materials and finished goods, lifting up to 50 lbs and using reach trucks for material transport.
- 4Perform basic quality inspections, documenting results and flagging issues to the shift lead.
- 5Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all GMP and safety protocols.
- 6Collaborate with team members to hit daily production quotas and improve line performance.
Requirements7
- 11+ year experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or production roles (preferred, not required).
- 2Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
- 3Comfortable in a manufacturing environment with standing, walking, and repetitive tasks.
- 4Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating reach trucks or similar equipment.
- 5Basic math and communication skills for quality checks and team coordination.
- 6Must pass E-Verify, drug screen, and 7-year background check.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent.
