What You'll Do9
- 1Develop and execute strategic plans for assigned product categories to expand revenue and market share.
- 2Manage product portfolios through assortment optimization, lifecycle planning, and market positioning.
- 3Analyze product performance, pricing, and profitability to identify growth opportunities.
- 4Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform product strategy.
- 5Serve as the technical expert, translating complex product details into customer solutions.
- 6Support sales teams with technical expertise and consultative guidance on high-value accounts.
- 7Collaborate with Purchasing to set inventory strategies and forecasting.
- 8Build vendor relationships and negotiate initiatives that enhance customer value.
- 9Mentor Purchasing Agents and cross-functional partners to improve product knowledge.
Requirements10
- 15+ years in product strategy, product management, category management, or technical sales.
- 2Experience in building materials, construction products, or industrial distribution preferred.
- 3Advanced technical knowledge of assigned product categories and construction applications.
- 4Proven ability to lead teams and mentor employees.
- 5Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain operations.
- 6Experience with ERP, CRM, DMSi, Microsoft Office, and business intelligence tools.
- 7Data-driven decision-making skills for evaluating product performance and market opportunities.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 9Willingness to travel to branches, customer sites, and industry events.
- 10Ability to work in office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.
