Product Manager, Healthcare API & Clinical Decision

What You'll Do10
- 1Define the product strategy and roadmap for API products, aligning with company goals and customer needs.
- 2Drive the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, facilitating cross-functional teams including engineering, UX, clinical, and marketing.
- 3Conduct market research and user interviews to identify opportunities for extending capabilities via external APIs to payers and providers.
- 4Translate business and clinical requirements into API product specifications and prioritized backlogs.
- 5Ensure APIs are designed for scalability, security (HIPAA, HITRUST), and ease of integration.
- 6Define API packaging, pricing, and licensing models, including per-call and subscription tiers.
- 7Set KPIs for API adoption, usage, and uptime, and drive adoption with key clients.
- 8Use data analytics to track product performance and guide continuous improvement.
- 9Serve as the voice of the customer, championing user needs in every development phase.
- 10Ensure all solutions align with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in product management, preferably in healthcare technology or health information services.
- 2Proven track record launching and operating revenue-generating API products.
- 3Solid technical understanding of APIs, developer portals, OAuth2, and API management platforms.
- 4Experience with product management tools like Jira, Aha!, and Confluence.
- 5Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 6Customer-focused mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 7Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to create compelling product narratives.
