Product Development Engineer, Sensor Design & FEA
Overview
You will own next-generation sensor product development from concept to release, delivering custom solutions for agriculture, robotics, and medical applications. Collaborating with a small, dynamic team, you will partner with customers and internal stakeholders to define cost-effective designs. Your work spans Creo FEA modeling, material validation, and production process development. This role offers broad exposure across industries and a chance to shape innovative sensing technology.
What You'll Do8
- 1Develop customized sensor solutions using Creo and FEA to meet customer specifications
- 2Partner with sales to define cost-effective sensor designs for target markets
- 3Collaborate with manufacturing to create production processes and test protocols
- 4Identify and validate materials for specific application environments
- 5Generate concept designs, cost estimates, and performance specifications
- 6Support the ISO 9000 quality system through documentation and process compliance
- 7Drive department and project meetings with technical contributions and customer interaction
- 8Travel to customer sites and manufacturing plants as needed
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, master's degree preferred
- 25-10 years of mechanical design experience in product development
- 3Proven expertise in stress analysis and finite element modeling
- 4Working knowledge of FEA software, preferably Creo
- 5Experience with project management is a plus
- 6Demonstrated interest in the business aspects of projects
- 7Strong communication and presentation skills
- 8Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Windows, and SAP
- 9Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and solve team-based problems
Salary Insight
$90 - $115k per year
