Product Developer, Beverage R&D & Lab Testing
Overview
You will own daily lab testing and sample preparation for the Retail Beverage Development team, ensuring new beverages meet quality standards before launch. You will work with cross-functional partners across R&D, quality, and supply chain using HPLC, GC-MS, and pH meters. This contract role in Seattle is lab-focused and hands-on, offering direct impact on product readiness for market.
What You'll Do7
- 1Execute daily lab tests including HPLC and GC-MS analysis on beverage samples to monitor quality.
- 2Prepare and maintain chemical solutions and buffers for pH and other analytical testing.
- 3Document all test results in LIMS and communicate findings to the R&D team.
- 4Calibrate and troubleshoot lab equipment such as spectrophotometers and centrifuges.
- 5Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure samples are ready for sensory and shelf-life studies.
- 6Manage inventory of lab supplies and coordinate with vendors for timely replenishment.
- 7Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of lab experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.
- 2Hands-on experience with HPLC and GC-MS for chemical analysis.
- 3Strong understanding of pH, titration, and other wet chemistry techniques.
- 4Proficiency with LIMS for data tracking and reporting.
- 5Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
- 6Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- 7Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
