Process Development Associate I - PRISM Cell Pooling
Overview
The Broad Institute seeks a Process Development Associate I to lead cell culture operations for the PRISM team. This role drives large-scale screening of over 900 cell lines using PRISM technology. You will manage daily production of cell pools while ensuring high-quality standards through meticulous documentation and adherence to SOPs. This position uniquely combines hands-on cell biology with data analysis to accelerate cancer therapeutic discovery.
What You'll Do11
- 1Manage cell culture for up to 30 cell lines simultaneously to generate PRISM pools
- 2Maintain our cell bank of 1000 cell lines including barcoding new lines and updating inventories
- 3Execute large-scale cell plating for production screens
- 4Conduct molecular biology protocols such as PCR and STR testing
- 5Perform CTG cell viability assays and prepare reagent stocks
- 6Maintain comprehensive lab records using eLabNext
- 7Perform routine equipment maintenance for optimal performance
- 8Prepare and update SOPs to reflect protocol changes
- 9Assess PRISM cell pool quality using internal data visualization tools
- 10Participate in team meetings to align project goals
- 11Handle diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment
Requirements6
- 1BS/BA in Biology Biomedical Engineering or related field
- 21+ year experience in biological research with mammalian cell culture expertise
- 3Proficiency with PCR DNA extractions and molecular techniques
- 4Strong written and oral communication abilities
- 5Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- 6Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting
