PRN Ambulatory Clinic Nurse (RN) - Urology
Overview
This PRN Registered Nurse role RN provides professional nursing care in the UROGYN clinic at Bell Hospital. You will assess, document, plan, and implement care for patients, coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective outcomes. This position offers flexible scheduling as a PRN role in a specialized ambulatory setting. You will collaborate closely with urology specialists and contribute to a patient-centered care model.
What You'll Do9
- 1Assess patient conditions through comprehensive evaluations and document findings accurately in the EHR.
- 2Plan and implement individualized care plans based on unit competencies for the UROGYN patient population.
- 3Coordinate care delivery and patient education with the healthcare team, ensuring seamless transitions.
- 4Administer medications and treatments as ordered, following organizational policies.
- 5Monitor patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
- 6Collaborate with physicians and specialists to optimize patient outcomes in the ambulatory setting.
- 7Educate patients and families on post-operative care, symptom management, and follow-up appointments.
- 8Document all nursing interventions and patient progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
- 9Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care delivery.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- 2Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within 5 years of hire
- 3Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) in Kansas or Missouri (or compact license)
- 4Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) within 14 days of hire
- 5Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- 6Ability to perform professional, clinical, and technical competencies for the assigned unit
- 7Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- 8Effective communication and collaboration skills
