Principal Software Development Engineer
Overview
Lead development of complex systems in C/C++ for Patriot Software Team in Tewksbury Massachusetts. Work in SCIF environment with optional 9/80 schedule. Drive system integration and scalability while collaborating across functional teams.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design and develop high-performance applications using C and C++ for complex systems
- 2Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features
- 3Troubleshoot and optimize existing code for performance improvements
- 4Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture and designs
- 5Participate in code reviews to enforce coding standards
- 6Stay current with C/C++ industry trends and advancements
- 7Perform light travel and off-hours testing on 2nd or 3rd shifts
- 8Work exclusively onsite at our facilities
- 9Solve technical challenges in complex environments
- 10Contribute to software development lifecycle from conception to deployment
- 11Support Patriot air defense system development
Requirements11
- 1Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date
- 2U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
- 3Minimum 8 years of experience in software development
- 4Proven experience with C/C++ programming languages
- 5Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time environments
- 6Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
- 7Active Secret security clearance preferred
- 8Ability to obtain interim security clearance before start date
- 9Strong understanding of multithreading and memory management concepts
- 10Knowledge of network communication protocols and shell scripting tools
- 11Experience with version control systems like Git
