Principal Embedded Software Engineer (Onsite) - Cloud-Native Security Solutions
Overview
Design and deliver high-performance embedded software for strategic nuclear deterrence systems. Lead cross-functional teams to architect, develop, and validate solutions that ensure security and reliability in critical aerospace defense applications. What You'll Do11
- 1Provide direct stakeholder support to resolve technical challenges and answer complex queries
- 2Develop and implement software solutions aligned with certification and customer requirements
- 3Produce high-quality builds within an integrated test environment
- 4Derive software specifications and create UML designs from requirement documentation
- 5Communicate with senior and principal engineers to mentor junior staff and foster collaboration
- 6Participate in software requirements verification and testing phases
- 7Drive agile methodologies including Scrum and continuous integration practices
- 8Utilize model-based systems engineering principles to define architecture and interfaces
- 9Integrate hardware-software components through hardware-in-the-loop testing
- 10Apply automated testing frameworks to enhance code quality and reliability
- 11Lead initiatives to improve test automation and defect tracking processes
Requirements5
- 1Minimum 5 years embedded software development experience with real-time operating systems
- 2Proven track record in Agile development using Scrum and CI/CD pipelines
- 3Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools and practices
- 4Active Secret U.S. government security clearance required prior to start date
- 5Degree in STEM fields with 8 years relevant experience or advanced degree plus 5 years experience
